Following a recent agreement reached with CONT@CT Frankfurt Exhibitions Ltd., the official representatives of Messe Frankfurt in the UK, Eddie Thorning is now working on a consultancy project with them for the Automechanika Worldwide Programme. His main role will be to actively promote the programme and its benefits to companies in the UK and to help and advise them in their participation.

The Automechanika exhibition held in Frankfurt every two years is already very well known within the global automotive industry and is internationally acknowledged as the largest, most professional, most international and most visited exhibition of its kind in the world. The most recent event – held in September 2004 at the Messe Frankfurt exhibition centre – featured 4,505 exhibitors from 72 countries, occupied 300,000 square metres of space and attracted circa 164,000 visitors from 145 countries.

Perhaps less well known within the automotive industry is the fact that there is also a series of other Automechanika exhibitions held in key automotive markets such as China, Mexico, Asia. Argentina, Africa, Russia, Turkey and The Gulf. Whilst clearly not as large as the main Automechanika Frankfurt exhibition, these events nevertheless follow the same concept of coverage across the full automotive components spectrum – from design to recycling – are themselves highly professional and with wide international appeal both across the regions in which they are held and beyond.

Full details of all of these exhibitions including brochures, factsheets, previous show reports, prices, application forms etc., can be accessed by visiting www.automechanika.messefrankfurt.com

Further useful information including some very good advice on exhibiting at these events can be found on the website of CONT@CT Frankfurt Exhibitions Ltd., www.uk.messefrankfurt.com

All UK based companies who agree to participate at one or more of these events in this highly international programme of exhibitions will also be able to benefit from a full ‘added value’ package being provided by Eddie and his colleagues and associates in the various markets. This will include: -

  • Detailed market information ahead of each event including a professional assessment of the likely potential offered by each market for their products and services.

  • A programme designed to match potential 'business partners' in each market to their own capabilities and requirements.

  • Real in-market support and assistance in identifying and quantifying these potential business opportunities and making sure these are presented to companies during their participation at the Automechanika events in each of the selected markets.

The combination of this programme of key international events, fully supported by the highly professional Automechanika infrastructure and the ‘added value’ package, will provide companies with a whole range of new business development opportunities in vitally important global automotive markets.

Full participation is therefore strongly recommended and companies should contact Eddie Thorning for any additional information required.
